From the Airport to the “old town”  rue de la Poissonnerie. Where to meet us or our assistant

If you arrive from the Airport by BUS
Your aim is getting the bus N° 98 that will carry you as far as your final destination. The price of the run is 6,00 Euros and it gives you the right to travel the whole day on the city urban network.
The bus 98 is the special fast line that links Terminal 1 (Gate 1) and T 2 (Gate 5) of the Airport to its Terminus in the center of the town ( Promenade des Arts / Garibaldi). Obviously as you get the bus you must be sure that it’s going eastbound (direction Garibaldi)
You can easily find the bus 98 stop just in front of the exits of the terminals - Terminal 1 (Gate 1) and T 2 (Gate 5) (in any case you can ask, everybody knows that line).
98. You are on the bus n° 98 direction Promenade des Arts / Garibaldi
For 98 timetable you can link this official page

After about 25 minute journey you will stop at NICE Cathedrale Vieille Ville. You have to get off the bus. That is the meeting point with our guests coming into downtown from the airport (if you arrive by train / tram or taxi the meeting point is different). If the guest is equipped with GPRS it could be easier meeting each other directly in front of the entrance of the property.
In any case from the bus stop (NICE Cathedrale Vieille Ville) there are about 6 minutes walking.

========================================

From the “old town” 3 rue de la Poissonnerie to the Airport.

The closest 98 line bus stop taking you (westbound) to the airport is "C. Bermond - Station" . It is located on Avenue Felix Faure. Leaving from both Rue de la Poissonnerie and Rue Saint Gaetan you can take Rue de la Prefecture always westbound, straight on as far as it terminates in Boulevard Jean Jaurès near the tram stop "Nice Vieille Ville - Opera". You must cross the Boulevard Jean Jaurès (you'll cross the tram tracks) and on the other side, passing through the "coulée verte - a sort of green area"  you will be in Avenue Felix Faure and you'll immediately see the bus stop named J.C. Bermond Station.

By car

By car coming from Menton – Vintimille, Italian border (motorway N° A8)

Clarification: the apartments are located in a pedestrian area so we will give information on how to get the closest car park (Parking Saleya) situated 50 meters from the door of our building.
Coming from the east (Ventimiglia - Menton, Italian A10 motorway  that becomes “A8” in France)

Overtaking the pay toll of “La Turbie” (Euros. 2,30), you have to get out at the “Nice Est” motorway exit. As you leave the roundabout you need to continue southbound (towards the sea, direction Nice Centre).
The apartment (and the Parking Saleya) are located 50 meters from the seafront, in that part of the promenade which takes the “Quais des Etats Unis” denomination, which is the eastward continuation of the Promenade des Anglais.
From the roundabout, following the exit ramp, there are some alternative ways to reach the promenade. The easiest trip is to take the “Route de Turin” southbound (it is named also “ Departmental road D2204). You go on along the Route de Turin (it takes at least 15 minutes depending on traffic) until it intersects Bld. Pierre Sola. You have to take the “Bld Sola” as far as it crosses Bld. J.B. Verany . There you should immediately turn left (southbound – as if you turn north you go back to the motorway). After turning left you meet Rue Jean Allègre, there you go always straight on. Rue J. Allègre becomes Av Gallieni, then Av. Saint Jean Baptiste and finally Av. Felix Faure. Once you are in Av Faure, right by the Rue Gubernatis you have to take that street for a short distance to the east /left (this short section is called Square du Général Leclerc / Traverse Flandres-Dunkerque). This leads to the "Descente Crotti" to be totally covered. This street becomes Rue Raoul Bosio, that you must drive till the junction with the Rue Saint François de Paule to be taken (left bound), you continue on this path all the way (eastbound). As soon as the Rue Saint François de Paule becomes "Cours Saleya" you’ll find in front of you the ramp down of the "Parking Saleya". It is a Pay-Parking. After parking your car, use the pedestrian exit of the Parking named "Saleya Chateau". Once in the surface you are 30 meters from both the apartment.

By car from Marseille

Clarification: the apartments are located in a pedestrian area, therefore we’re going to explain to you how to get to the closest parking called “Saleya Parking” (50 meters from the building door).

If coming from the west (A8 Marseille)
Once passing through the toll of Antibes (Euros 3.00) take the exit "Nice-Promenade des Anglais / Nice Centre. Take the Promenade des Anglais eastbound (you’ll see the airport on your right) then you will travel 4 kilometers, as far as the end of the Promenade des Anglais.
Warning: the end of the Promenade des Anglais does not correspond with the whole seafront as the last part of that takes the name of “Quais des Etats Unis”. In order to access by car the Parking Saleya you should just turn left when the Promenade des Anglais becomes Quais des Etats Unis; once turning left, you have to drive a short distance onto the Avenue des Phocéens (just after the famous bus stop - Albert 1.er ) in fact you must immediately turn right into "Rue Saint François de Paule". You cover all the way (eastbound) and as soon as it becomes "Cours Saleya" you will face the ramp down of the "Parking Saleya". It is a Pay-Parking.  After parking your car, use the pedestrian exit of the Parking named "Saleya Chateau". Once at the surface you are 30 meters from the apartments.

Car Parkings

As mentioned in the page that provides information on routes to follow coming by car, the closest one (probably also the cheapest) is "Parking Saleya" which has also the great advantage of allowing one hour of free stopover and therefore it can be used during loading and unloading luggage operations.

If you desire to park a few days the car in the area, as there isn’t any free parking on the roads, it is more convenient that you book and rent a parking for the duration of your stay.

If Parking Saleya represents a good solution, know please that there are always available places even during the peak season.
• Telephone or Internet booking is not allowed, you must  go personally to the Parking office (level -1). An operator is present 24/24 and he will deliver you the subscription you need: duration 3 days (50 Euros), 5 days (67 Euros) and 7 days (€ 84). Decreasing prices over time. We personally went to the office and they told us that, in practice, it works like this: "the issue of the ticket/subscription  is guaranteed (in high season too, including the month of August). You must simply go to the mentioned office the day of your arrival (level -1) for the subscription that suits you. The downside is that they do not assign a numbered car place (always the same), but they deal with you like any customer, even daily or hourly. This subscription gives you "only" the right of access to parking. This means that, in case of entry queue, you must wait (like all the waiting customers) until there is a vacancy, an available place".
Although slightly further away (8 minutes walking) the Parking "Port de Nice" is useful if you leave your car parked for several hours in the area but only for a day. Not decreasing fares for longer periods It is not recommended for long-term parking.

By Train

By train coming from Vintimille, Italian border

Clarification: the apartments are situated more or less in an equidistant position from the stations of Nice Riquier and Nice Ville (Central Station). Most of the trains coming from Ventimiglia are "Regional trains" consequently they stop at "Nice Riquier" , the local train station.
After getting down in Nice Riquier you can reach the apartments on foot (25-minute walk), in any case below we give information about the fastest way including the bus and a short walk.(10 minutes).

Once you are out of the Nice Ville train station, take the "Avenue Thiers", then take a small section of the avenue Jean Medecin to the tram stop "Gare Nice Thiers." You take the tram (direction "Hopital Pasteur" T1, there is a departure every 3-5 minutes). Get off at "Vieille ville Opéra" (after about 7 minutes). TAXI

Coeur de Nice 1: The flat Rue de la Poissonnerie (Coeur de Nice 1) is in a pedestrian area and the meeting point with us is at the corner between Rue des Ponchettes and the Arcades of the ancient Senat. More practically you'll have to tell the taxi driver

The flat is in a pedestrian area you have to tell the driver to drop you off at the car parking Saleya Exit in Rue des Ponchettes in front of the Arcades of the ancien Senat of Nice (about 200 meters before the panoramic lift leading to the castle hill )
Return trip to the Air Terminal

If you wish reserve a taxi, dial  + 33(0)8.99.70.08.78, 24/24 hours switchboard, 7 days.

For the return trip to the airport our guest Mathias (thanks Mathias!!)  from Vien suggests to take a taxi in front of the Hotel Meridian (based in the Promenade des Anglais) .  Both the taxi stations at Garibaldi and Place Massena have been moved due to construction sites. The closest taxi station is next to hotel Le Meridian and there is always at least one available taxi.
It is close to the appartement - about half way of Negresco and a much nicer walk than to Garibaldi.

Coeur de Nice 2: luckily Rue Saint Gaetan can be reached by taxi. It is a Pedestrian Area but some vehicles (including taxi) can pass.
You have only to tell the driver the exact address!!! For the return trip you can call + 33(0)8.99.70.08.78, 24/24 hours switchboard, 7 days or follow the suggestions of Mathias (searching a taxi station)
